DOMESTIC COUPLE
HOUSEKEEPER/FAMILY COOK/MAINTENANCE PERSON/DRIVER/HOUSEMAN
SOUTH WEST LONDON base with travel to EAST SUSSEX for 2 days each week.
Essential Requirements: Previous private house experience working as a “hands on” domestic couple, child friendly, strong DIY/maintenance skills, excellent level of cleaning and laundry, good team players, flexible and proactive, self-sufficient, able to make decisions with good communication skills. Both must drive. FLEXIBILITY is key to this position, this is a hands-on role, not managerial.

Part residence properties of a young family with 6 children between ages 11yrs and 2yrs (nanny will be employed). This position is split between 2 properties, the main base is London SW15 with travel to the country estate approx 2 days per week to oversee and assist the resident staff in East Sussex.
The family primarily live in Europe and visit the country estate for occasional weekends and during school holidays. The London residence is rarely used but must be maintained to a high standard.

The housekeeper should have a detailed eye for cleaning, capable to deal with all family laundry including care of delicate and fine fabrics.

When the family are in residence (in either London or Rye), the couple will be responsible for food shopping, household provisioning, cooking family meals, serving, unpacking and packing, airport transfers and any other driving required.

The couple will be responsible for arranging and overseeing contractors for servicing and maintenance of household services in London. The houseman will be required to have good property maintenance and DIY skills, capable to ensure that the properties are kept in good condition. External specialist contractors are available for both properties on a regular basis.

The couple will care for the swimming pool in London (although pool contractors are also available), tennis court in Rye, pressure wash pathways and patio areas. The couple will be expected to have general garden maintenance skills and will be responsible for the garden in London.

The couple will be expected to occasionally travel to other destinations in Europe if and when required to support the family and their needs.

Salary circa £80,000 Gross per annum. Separate 2 bedroom flat provided in SW15.
2 days off per week mainly weekends if the family are not in residence. However, if the family are in residence the couple will be required to be flexible and available. Drivers essential.
