HOUSEKEEPER/FAMILY COOK/PROPERTY MAINTENANCE/GARDENER/GROUNDS PERSON/DRIVER/SECURITY

Essential Requirements: Dog lovers, ability to make accommodation home.
Caretakers of the property during the owner’s absence.

An experienced, proactive and self-sufficient domestic couple are required to manage and care for a well-maintained country house in a rural village location between Gerrards Cross and Beaconsfield. The principals are a mature couple with adult children and grandchildren who visit occasionally. Although this is the principal’s main residence they travel frequently and spend 5-6 months over the year abroad.

Duties and experience required

Housekeeping – including cleaning, washing and ironing, care of delicates.
Family cooking – fresh, light, healthy using good quality ingredients.
Shopping, errands to include post office, dry cleaning etc.
Dog care – 2 medium size dogs, feeding, walking, vet visits and total care when the owners are away. There are also chickens to care for.
Maintenance gardening – part time gardening assistance will be available if required. Care and management of 7 acres which includes 2 fields, lawns, cottage style gardens.
Property Maintenance – General DIY indoor and outdoor, care of machinery and organisation of any specialist contractors as required.
Security and caretaking of the property in the owner’s absence.
Care of the vehicles, occasional driving to include airport runs, local errands, organisation of servicing/MOT etc.

Primarily a Monday to Friday position, however when the owners are not in residence the 2 dogs need to be cared for. Essential that you are dog lovers and willing to accept their care even during your time off. The vacancy is best suited to a couple who will make the accommodation their home. Average working 40 hrs per week with flexibility as required.

Salary circa £75-80,000 Gross depending on previous experience. Use of a self-contained furnished barn conversion /cottage set apart from the main house. Both to drive. (HU4038)
